A country music superstar won't be facing a judge today after all. Morgan Wallen waived his right to appear in court. He's facing reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct charges after allegedly throwing a chair from Eric Church's six-story rooftop bar in downtown Nashville last month. Instead, the singer's attorney will be in court. Wallen has shows today and tomorrow at Nashville's Nissan Stadium.

The Tampa Bay Rays will look a little different when they play the New York Mets at Tropicana Field tonight. The Rays will be wearing their new City Connect uniforms designed by Nike. A ceremony was held yesterday at the St. Pete Pier to show off the new look. The uniform pays tribute to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, skateboarding and tattoo art. The Rays will wear the City Connect jerseys all weekend and then every Saturday home game.

Japan Airlines is reporting the cancellation of a flight from Dallas to Tokyo last week. That's because the pilot was drunk. He reportedly drank with fellow crew members at a restaurant, then at the hotel bar, and then in his room. He became so loud and disruptive, hotel staff called police around 2 a.m. Japan Airlines canceled the flight as a precautionary measure. The 157 passengers were placed on other flights.

The name of an American superstar is being added to the French dictionary. Beyonce is one of 40 people to be included in the French encyclopedic dictionary "Petit Larousse Illustre." She is listed as a proper noun with her entry reading "American singer of R&B and pop." Other people included in the 2024 entries include LeBron James and Christopher Nolan. The new entries "reflect concerns, developments or strong movements this year."

A John Lennon hit from 1973 is being transformed into nine versions of "mind-expanding" meditation. Yoko Ono and the couple's son Sean Ono Lennon announced nine versions of "Mind Games" are available on the Lumenate phone app. A statement on the John Lennon website said it will guide users "into a state of consciousness between that of deep meditation and psychedelics." The statement said the app uses the smartphone's flashlight "strobed at research-driven frequencies" onto the user's closed eyes. "Mind Games" is being used for meditation as part of Mental Health Awareness Month, which began on May 1st.

If not for shyness, Sonny and Cher might have actually been Elvis and Cher. During an appearance this week on "The Jennifer Hudson Show," Cher admitted that Elvis Presley had "one of his people" call her and invite her to spend a weekend in Las Vegas with the King of Rock and Roll. Cher said she was a big fan of Elvis, but she was too nervous and too shy to accept the invitation. The 77-year-old Cher admits she prefers younger men and is reportedly dating a 38-year-old music executive.

Cher will be joining Elvis in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2024.
